Johann Joachim Quantz is best known today for the many flute concertos he composed while in the service of Frederick The Great.
Andantino & Presto is an arrangement for brass soloist with piano accompaniment of two movements from Quantz’s Flute Concerto No 17, which he composed for his famous benefactor.

This arrangement was originally published in 1989 by Kendor Music and was included on many state solo and ensemble lists during ensuing years. When it went permanently out of print 25 years later, Dr. Corwell re-obtained the rights to his arrangement so he could make it available through Nicolai Music.
